“A hummingbird is a feathered prism, a living rainbow. Darting out of a fairyland into your garden, it captures the very sunlight for you and turns it into a jewel on wings.”

eBird
A real-time, online checklist program. eBird documents the presence or absence of species, as well as bird abundance through checklist data. A birder simply enters when, where, and how they went birding, then fills out a checklist of all the birds seen and heard during the outing. Your data is added to that of others so populations can be tracked.
