“There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrain of nature - the assurance that dawn comes after night and spring after winter.

Natives: Beautiful Plants for You and Habitat for Wildlife

Fall is the best time to plant native perennials. Their root systems will have a stronger start and more vigorous growth than the perennials you plant in the spring.

Beautiful fall blooming flowers, shrubs, trees, vines and ferns will all be available at the semi-annual Native Plant Sale held at Morven Park. Nature By Design, Hill House Farm & Nursery and Watermark Woods will have a large selection of locally native plants for sale.

To see which plants each nursery carries or to place an order ahead of time, visit the nurseries’ websites and check out their plant lists. Please note that not all plants listed will be available at the sale so if you know what you'd like to buy ahead of time, just let them know and they'll bring them for you.

Plants can be purchased using cash, check or credit card.
