“Wilderness is not a luxury but a necessity of the human spirit.”

- Edward Abbey

2007
The Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy is pleased to announce that the 2007 winner of the Green Business Award goes to the staff of the Loudoun County Sanitation Authority (LCSA).

LCSA demonstrated leadership in the award’s three criteria areas: Impact on Ecosystem, Ongoing Commitment to Habitat Preservation, and Education and Outreach to the Community. LWC’s panel of judges was particularly impressed with the work that LCSA staff have done over the years in the areas of water conservation education and outreach as well as the way in which LCSA has incorporated best practices (e.g., Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) into the design of its facilities.

LCSA was presented with the award at LWC’s annual meeting on May 20.  Congratulations LCSA!
