Public Input, Banshee Reeks and the Woods Road Realignment, March 2008
LWC requests that the Board of Supervisors engage stakeholders in the issue of the Woods Road realignment so that impact to Banshee Reeks is minimized to the greatest extent possible.

LWC Opposition to Vulture Killing, February 2008
Letter to Town of Hamilton
Letter to Town of Middleburg
LWC opposes the killing of the vultures and hanging their bodies in effigy. The number of vultures is not extraordinary and the current data from the towns does not warrant the killing. Turkey and Black Vulture are protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty act.

Public Input, Ridgewater CPAM, February and March 2007
LWC opposes the Ridgewater CPAM because of the sensitive habitat which it holds and its proximity to key water sources.
Public Input, Western Zoning, November 2006
LWC opposes the Staton proposal. We prefer reenactment of the previous Board's AR1/AR2 zoning but minus that option will support the Burton proposal.
Public Input, Western Zoning, July 2006
Enact the Clem-Burton immediately, minus grandfathering beyond State law; presentation of petition to oppose Shadowbrook development as currently proposed due to impact on State threatened wood turtles.
Public Input, Western Zoning, June 2006
Enact the Clem-Burton proposal as originally designed, minus the grandfathering, then revisit inclusion of environmental protections.
Letter to the Editor, April 2006
The Price of Development.
Public Position, Oatland Mills Zoning and Bald Eagles, March 2006
Residential property used as a contractors service station, disturbing nesting Bald eagles and polluting our wetlands.
Public Input, Power Lines and Options, February 2006
Neither the W&OD Trail nor the rural country route are environmentally sound options. They should be buried along Rte 7.
Public Input, Dulles South CPAMS, October 2005
The developer-proposed CPAMS will create unconscionable habitat loss with no protections for sensitive habitats.
Public Input, Western Zoning, July 2005
Commitment needed to protect our natural resources.
Letter to the Editor, May 2005
Call to Action—We are the stewards of this county, and we are responsible for what we save, and what we destroy.
Letter to the Editor, March 2005
Statement in reaction to the Supreme Court ruling that overturned the 2003 Comprehensive Plan.
LWC Environmental Position, 2001
Presented to the Board of Supervisors.
