Hey Joe !
I'm going to renew efforts to "get" Bobolinks for our block! Sally, Laureen and my daughter and I saw a group a male Bobolinks putting on quite a show in Canaan Valley, WV back in May and became obsessed with them...such incredible song !
We are seeing some shorebirds passing through ( a few Solitary Sandpipers, Least Sandpipers and a Lesser Yellowlegs )...i know they are not needed for the Atlasing project...but where would be a good place , around here, to see more "shorebirds, peeps and waders " ?

Hi Donna

I think the article you're thinking of is this one. You're welcome to use it (we just ask that you mention Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy as the source) - it's so important to get the word out about this - thank you for doing so!

nice to know the boblinks are thriving despite the harvesting of hay. i seem to recall an article in the lwc bulletin that was written about the benefits of leaving areas unmowed. i'd like to reprint in our neighborhood newsletter if its available for that purpose.
