The 14th Annual “Family Stream Day” will be held at Claude Moore Park in Sterling

This year’s theme: “Loudoun Streams Feed Loudoun’s Dreams” 

On Sunday, October 18 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, the 14th Annual “Family Stream Day” will be held at Claude Moore Park in Ashburn. This year’s event is co-hosted by the Loudoun Environmental Stewardship Alliance (LESA) and Loudoun Watershed Watch and will offer a number of family-friendly hands-on activities that relate to the health of the streams in Loudoun County.

The day’s events will include:

  • Macroinvertebrate (stream/pond critters) collection and identification
  • Soil erosion activities
  • Tree identification
  • Stormwater management
  • Floodplain scale model
  • Watersheds and finding your watershed address
